Class Observation I by Optional teacher

On 11th January 2023,Wednesday,i was assigned to have my first observation class by our optional teacher, Dr. Jayapraveen sir.

For the same i choosed Class VIII. The chapter chosen was " THE SCHOOL FOR SYMPATHY " by E V LUCUS.

I  began the class with an entry activity thereby creating a good rapport with the learners and latrr linked the same with the lesson.

Explained the difference between Sympathy and Empathy. The learners seemed very attentively listening  to the class.

Then wrote the chapter's name and the author's name on the black board.

Then i went on introducing the author to the learners using the help of chart paper's and a photo of the author.

I read the passages loudly ( those dealing today ) twice. On the first one  they kept their books closed and on the second time they  listened with their books.

Asked them to mark familiar, difficult, confusing and emotions evoking words.

Later megaphones their doubt's.

Asked questions to check the level of their understanding.

Then i summed up the whole chapter verbally and also showed a drawing of the theme of the lesson till taught.

Later made the learners read the whole passage's (till taught ) loudly.

Ended the class by assigning an homework to the learner's
